Juan-Carlos Molleda, Ph.D., IPR Trustee and UF College of Journalism and Communications’ Department of Public Relations Chair, was the keynote speaker at the 10th International Public Relations Symposium in Tehran, Iran on October 28.
Approximately 500 professionals attended the symposium organized by the Arman Public Relations Institute with the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) at the Milad Tower International Convention Center.
Molleda addressed challenges Iranian public relations industry faces in a stressed economic environment. He explained how consensus and cooperation are important components for a successful large-scale change in strategic communication.
Molleda also conducted a six-hour workshop with about 50 Iranian public relations professionals, focusing on the topic of strategic-change communication in organizations. He described the immense opportunities Iran faces with a future potential influx of foreign direct investment and a more dynamic government sector.
