Updated February 7, 2011 – EACD to support European Measurement Summit
The European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) has become an Official Supporter of the 3rd European Summit on Measurement, co-presented by AMEC and the Institute for Public Relations. The Summit will be held in Lisbon, from 8-10th June, 2011.
Robert Grupp, IPR President and CEO, said: “I join Barry Leggetter at AMEC in welcoming EACD to our European Measurement Summit. These are colleagues who we know and respect; they will add much to the dialogue that takes place among professionals in Lisbon in June.”
EACD will publicize the European Summit to its members across Europe. October 23, 2010 — The Institute for Public Relations (IPR) and the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) announced the 3rd European Summit on Measurement will be in Lisbon, Portugal, from June 8-10, 2011.
The Summit is aimed at corporate communications and public relations professionals as well as market research and evaluation agencies. Best practices for measuring the evaluating communications in business and insights from market research on an international level will be presented at the event.
Robert W. Grupp, President and CEO of the Institute for Public Relations, said: “At two previous Summits we set a baseline upon which we are building clear standards and common approaches to measuring and evaluating public relations results. In Barcelona last June, in North America in October and now in Lisbon in 2011, we are establishing the basic philosophy behind a set of standard practices for proving the value of public relations to business.”
Following the adoption of the Barcelona Principles, AMEC and IPR have led a proactive debate among public relations professionals, created task forces to validate new metrics and urged constituents and clients to embrace the Barcelona Principles.
