Second Annual Golden Ruler Award Program Seeks Entries Demonstrating Excellence in PR Measurement and Evaluation
"We are looking for extraordinary examples of measurement and evaluation based on outcomes and integrated into public relations practice," said Don W. Stacks, Professor at the University of Miami and a member of the Commission on Public Relations Measurement and Evaluation, which created the program for the Institute.
Deadline for entry forms is Sept. 1, 2005, with completed submissions due by Sept. 30. Winners will be announced at the Institute's Annual Distinguished Lecture and Awards Dinner at the Yale Club in New York, Nov. 10, 2005. The competition is sponsored in part by PRNews.
"We will showcase the winning entries on the Institute's free website to provide positive examples of public relations campaigns with clear, measurable objectives and innovative methods of evaluation," said David Michaelson, a principal of David Michaelson & Co., LLC, and a member of the Commission.
The entry form and detailed instructions can be obtained at www.instituteforpr.org, or by calling the Institute at (352) 392-0280. Last year's winners and judging criteria are also on the website.
