Leading practitioners and educators will be members of the instructional team for this event. Program sessions will include:

Reputation and Brand Management: The Role of Corporate Communications in Building and Retaining Brand Value - Dr. Elliot Schreiber, formerly the chief marketing and communications officer at both Nortel and Bayer, and now Clinical Professor Marketing at the Bennett LeBow College of Business, Drexel University in Philadelphia where he teaches courses in brand and reputation management, corporate communications, marketing strategy and pharmaceutical marketing. He also is Visiting Professor of Communications and Fellow of the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communications at Penn State University.

The Singular Character of Public Relations - Bill Nielsen, retired Corporate Vice President of Public Affairs, Johnson & Johnson, who also held a distinguished agency career with Carl Byoir & Associates and Hill & Knowlton, explains why he believes individual character and the insistence on telling the truth, more than any specific skill or expertise, has brought corporate communications and public relations practitioners to where they are today as individuals and as a profession.

How Corporate Communications Functions and Public Relations Firms are Working Effectively Together - This panel session will feature senior-level representatives from both corporations and agencies.

Effective Use of Measurement and Evaluation in Public Relations - This program session will be presented by John Gilfeather, Vice President of TNS, the world's largest custom market research company and a member of the Institute's Commission on Public Relations Measurement and Evaluation that includes representatives from corporate, agency and academic public relations plus several of the world's leading research provider companies.

The Role of Public Relations and Communications in Building Reputation and Brand Awareness - Kenneth B. Sternad, Vice President - Corporate Public Relations, UPS, will provide an in-depth look at how UPS has effectively enhanced its reputation and brand awareness through strategic public relations practice.

Practical Applications of Public Relations Ethics in the Corporate and Agency Worlds - A contemporary look at ethics in our field by Thomas R. Martin and Donald K. Wright. Tom is Executive-in-Residence, Department of Communication, College of Charleston, formerly the chief communications officer at both ITT Industries and FedEx, a Past President of the Arthur W. Page Society and a member of the Boards of Trustees of both the Page Society and the Institute. Don is Professor of Public Relations in the College of Communication at Boston University.
