TORONTO, July 26, 2017 /CPRS/ – The Canadian Public Relations Society is partnering with the Institute for Public Relations, an independent nonprofit research foundation, to offer CPRS members access to the IPR weekly Research Letter and Public Relations Journal, an academic, peer-reviewed journal of IPR and the Public Relations Society of America.

Through the PR Journal, IPR and PRSA plan to work with CPRS to showcase research presented at the CPRS National Conference – Connexions 2018 – to be held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island from May 27 – 29, 2018.

“IPR is thrilled to partner with a prominent association like CPRS, and to boost its partnership with PRSA,” said Tina McCorkindale, IPR President & CEO. “This collaboration helps promote research that matters to the profession while showcasing the research of Canadian scholars.”

“As the field of public relations continues to evolve, we believe that the profession will benefit from greater cooperation among its associations,” said Joseph Truncale CEO of PRSA. “PRSA is pleased to collaborate with leading organizations like IPR and CPRS, to strengthen the Public Relations Journal by assembling and sharing the best research throughout North America with our members.”

“This new agreement will add a distinctively Canadian viewpoint to the current panel of Public Relations Journal contributors by featuring the work of some the greatest minds across the country,” said Karen Dalton, APR, FCPRS(H), CAE, Executive Director of CPRS. “By being part of the North American conversation regarding the future of the industry, the CPRS will continue to be the leading association of professional communicators north of the border.”
