Cheryl is Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications at Macy’s. She was previously senior vice president global corporate relations and chief communications officer at Avon Products, Inc. She was also the President of the Avon Foundation for Women.
Previously, she was a Managing Director, Corporate Practice for Burson-Marsteller. Cheryl is a communications professional with expertise in issues management, international public affairs, CSR, branding, and organizational development.
Cheryl spent the majority of her career at Visa, where she worked from 1997 to 2008. At Visa, she was a senior communications executive and managed all communications programs for Visa International through its three year corporate restructuring. Post-restructuring, she was head of global stakeholder & digital communications, responsible for all employee and client communications as well as internal and external digital communications strategy.
After leaving Visa following its 2008 IPO, Cheryl operated a communications consultancy and advised Burson-Marsteller clients in that role. In her earlier career, Cheryl worked in executive search and organizational development in the Bay Area. She has consulted on brand, marketing, and communications issues with First Data Corporation, Citibank, BP, and several Bay Area technology and biotechnology startups.
